About us: Tacofino began as a food truck in the back of a surf shop in beautiful Tofino, British Columbia. We balanced surfing with creating world-inspired food with the best possible ingredients. We have since grown and have added food trucks and locations across Vancouver Island and Vancouver.

You will be:

*Overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of the restaurant
*Fostering and maintaining a safe and positive work environment for your team that encourages efficiency and growth
*Ensuring consistent standards of food quality and guest satisfaction
*Working with the Executive Chef to learn new recipes, ensuring they are to the specifications as outlined in the company’s recipe guide
*Monitoring and maintaining food and labour targets to meet goals, including sales and community initiatives
*Ensuring all staff are in compliance to appropriate safe food-handling procedures as per the Vancouver Coastal Health Guidelines
*Providing additional support to your team when required, such as jumping on a station and supporting the line to expedite lunch and/or dinner services
*Interviewing and hiring for all positions within your team
*Providing orientations, ongoing training and development opportunities, and performance reviews for your team
*Providing disciplinary action and performance management when warranted
*Creating schedule templates, forecasted labour, and sales tracking
*Maintaining kitchen systems and timelines for ordering, food production, station pars, equipment maintenance and opening/closing duties of all back of house staff
*Submitting daily orders for prepared food items from the Production Kitchen
*Performing and submitting bi-weekly inventories
*Maintaining accurate and up-to-date recipes and records
*Creating invoice reports, payroll and inventory for the accounting department
*Planning for and participating in weekly meetings with the Operations team
*Other duties as required

To be qualified for this role, you will have:

*A minimum of 4 years of culinary experience in a fast-paced, high volume & professional kitchen environment
*A minimum of 2 years in a leadership role managing 5+ employees in both front of house and back of house
*Food Safe Certification(s) and Serving it Right
*Proven cooking Ability, excellent knife skills, and a seasoned palate
*A strong, positive, and supportive leadership style
*Culinary Arts or Red Seal Certification considered an asset
*A demonstrated passion for soulful food, people, and the restaurant industry
*The personal skills of being a self-starter, flexible, and the ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
*Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
*Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize
*Ability to work evenings and weekends according to the needs of the business

Line Cook - Full Time

Tacofino Kits - Vancouver BC

About you: We are growing and have an opportunity for a great person with a strong passion for cooking who is looking to join our team as a Line Cook. You will have the responsibility of executing menu items in a timely manner, providing support to your teammates and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace. This is a great opportunity to be a long-term member of our growing team!

Responsibilities:

Food preparation: cutting, portioning, frying, baking, following recipes, putting away orders, and cleaning of kitchen tools and facility as required
Ensure all food preparation and storage procedures are followed as outlined by *Vancouver Coastal Health, to include FIFO and appropriate labeling
Playing a role in ensuring a respectful workplace environment by professional communication with all team members and customers
Other duties as required

Qualifications:

Experience in a fast-paced & professional kitchen environment
A strong passion for food
A positive and professional attitude
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Basic knife skills
Food Safe Level 1 an asset

You will be:
Management
★ Overseeing Tacofino’s social media content and strategy on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, LinkedIn, Mailchimp, and other platforms.
★ Collaborating with the Marketing department and location leadership in bringing creative, on-brand concepts and stories to life.
★ Developing and managing partnerships with influencers, affiliates, and other third-party partners to increase brand exposure and drive sales.
★ Creating digital campaigns that are tailored to specific demographics, which includes: developing creative and targeting strategies to ensure that campaigns reach the right audience and achieve the desired results.

Research
★ Conducting market research to identify customer needs and preferences; staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
★ Actively testing and analyzing social media initiatives, channels, and features to maximize performance and ensure KPIs are met.

Measurement
★ Reporting on Tacofino’s digital performance through tracking key metrics such as impressions, engagement, clicks, conversions, ROI, and providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

You have:
★ A minimum of 3 years of experience in a marketing or digital marketing role.
★ Highly proficient in multiple digital platforms, including Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Mailchimp, Facebook, and Google.
★ Proficiency in Meta Business Suite, TikTok Ads Manager, and Google Ads.
★ Previous experience in social media software, such as Hootsuite or Sprout.
★ Proficiency in photo and video editing software.
★ Proven copywriting and editing skills.

Salary Range: $65,000-$75,000

Location: Remote work with occasional office days and site visits to Tacofino locations.
